Annexation Beaverton and the athletic company fight over records the judge ordered preserved.

Nike has filed two lawsuits seeking to view public records -- including those on city computers and the home computers of some city officials -- that are related to Beaverton's annexation policies.


Ed Harnden, a private attorney Beaverton recently hired to fight the lawsuits, said in court Monday that a computer technician from the city's systems division was copying information from the hard drive on Drake's desktop computer to another computer next to it. The technician was using a "ghostwriting" software as a way to preserve the 40 items the computer disk contained, Harnden said.
