Hypercom Corp. today unveiled a new network server appliance enabling the market's first plug-and-play deployment of value-added applications for point-of-sale/point-of-service systems.

The new platform is being demonstrated with SignatureOne(TM) biometric signature authentication software from  Communications Intelligence Corp.  The CIC application enables banks, insurance firms and other organisations providing services to consumers to combat fraud and identity theft by using handwritten signatures to verify identity of their customers.
