The National eService Delivery Standards (NeSDS) Programme has now partnered with the ESD Toolkit to deliver the benefits of the eService Delivery Standards to all Local Authorities in line with the requirements of the transformation agenda as part of the NeSDS rollout phase.
The NeSDS Programme published 10 eService Delivery Standards following wide ranging consultation.
They have created a self-assessment tool hosted by ESD Toolkit which allows Local Authorities to assess themselves against each of the eStandards.
This provides service delivery benchmarks drawn from best in breed Local Government practice so local authorities can plan their transformation strategy. They will also be able to reference themselves against other Local Authorities.
The self-assessment tool is available at www.nesds.gov.uk
The Partnership between NeSDS and ESD Toolkit means that the eStandards will be supported by the wider ESD Toolkit community and be made available through the regional ESD Toolkit support network.
Local Authorities are able to self assess for improvement, and also provide case studies highlighting benefits of the eStandards in use.
A wide range of Local Authorities have already self assessed or provided such case studies.
The regional eGovernment Partnerships have also agreed their support and assistance for the NeSDS rollout programme.
