 Personal and corporate information on handheld devices is
vulnerable to tampering and theft. Whilst passwords offer some
protection against accessing your data, it is very likely that they
could be guessed, forgotten or stolen. In environments dealing
with
confidential or sensitive material, security needs to be paramount.
Sign-On from Audata lets you guard the data on your mobile
device. The unique biometrics of your signature are captured when
you enroll by
signing seven times to create a template. Thereafter you only
need to
sign your name once to log-in and Sign-On compares your signature to
the template before allowing access to the PDA. Sign-On protects
the
PDA from unauthorised direct access and Active-Sync sessions.
There are
two versions: {linkcontent id=44}Sign-On Secure{/linkcontent} and
{linkcontent id=45}Sign-On Enterprise{/linkcontent}.
Sign-On allows users to disable Sign-On, to re-enroll, or to transfer the PDA to another user.
The
alternative corporate version, Sign-On Enterprise, has increased
security and does not permit the user the option of disabling Sign-On,
re-enrolling or transferring the PPC. The introductory screen is
customised to include the corporate's choice of text, logo and
information as to where the device should be returned. This software
will completely lock the device after a preset number of consecutive
failed signature attempts.
